Hack Help Forum
Does anyone know of a remote hack for the Philips LX3000 DVD 5.1 System. I have tried both the normal Philips 750 hack and the hack used for the MX1060 but none of these seem to work, any Ideas ?
i have had the same prob m8, have you tryed the one for all 4 hack. the only one left to try.
Yep, one for all remote hack does not seem to work either
If I remember corectly
Region 1
Play 159 111 001 08 Play
Region 2
Play 159 221 001 08 Play
You must reset the player from the system menu after each change.
When you have successfully changed the region you will also see a number appear in the top left corner. This is the number of times that
the region has been changed.
You are limited to 25 times but the counter can be reset using
Play 159 Play
You have to be quick when entering the codes as it seems temprimental
to if it`ll accept them. It might help to reset the player first.
In case you need other regions the first part of the code is the region
and the next is the tv system where 1 = NTSC 2 = PAL 3 = Auto
EG 111 = Region 1 NTSC Don`t change the last part.
The manual only lists regions 1-4 but using 5 or 6 for the region might work.
Have fun Larry
works fine with a region 1 dvd but the number in the top left hand corner is showing 25 so i put the code back in (play 159 play) and is still showing 25. any ideas. thanks bazils.
When you reset the counter is does display 25.
When I tried different codes the number started at one and incremented by one each time but then when the counter was reset the number displayed changed to 25.
Remember to reset the player after each code change as the manual says that the change isn`t fully imprimented until you do.
I even tried to see if it would recognise region zero but nothing happened.
I don`t know if these are really made by Philips or if they were made for Philips as the DVD Mech is clearly marked as Sanyo and the whole Player/Amp doesn`t look like a Philips on the inside plus the manual is too helpful !
Happy viewing

Hi Larry,
I`m now stuck in region 1 - and no matter what I do (reset using play 159 play - which does produce #25 in the top lh corner) it doesn`t want to accept the play 159 221 001 08 play. I keep getting `wrong region` for my new Lord of the Rings dvd (Reg 2) ! Have you got any ideas or easier ways?
Thanks
Shaz
