is there a way i can get this dvd player to play cd r`s and can someone tell me what "macrovision " means as i keep seeing it on some messages....cheers

Gadger the LG4710 will not/cannot play cdr`s, sorry.It can however be made multiregional with an easy code,Visit LG Dvd Uncovered for info about LG Players.As quoted in the glossary on this site......"Macrovision Macrovision is a video copyright protection system which prevents the copying of DVD material. This can also cause some technical problems with passing information using SCART passthrough connectors through such items as VCR’s or satellite receivers/decoders. Many DVD players modified for region coding also have the Macrovision protection disabled."
