Page 1 of VCD Hack for LG 3525 home cinema kit

I have recently bought an LG 3525 player, and managed to use the widely available multi-region hack successfully. I`ve been looking for a VCD enable hack, but havent managed to find one that doesnt come with a horror story about what might go wrong. Has anyone found one that worked on their own player without any side effects?

Just looking for a bit of reassurance before I screw the thing up!

I myself have been searching for a vcd hack but as yet have no luck. Have you found one to date? Where is the one you have at the moment? Can you successfully reset the machine if the hack doesn`t work?

I Got a LG (ZENITH) DA3525
I think I Found a way to play VCD. I could Play Most VCD`s Fine, but some VCD`S didn`t, but at least it can read it and won`t give you a DISC ERROR when you put VCD in the tray.
Anyways I tried many settings until I found one that worked best.

give me more info from you drive 1st
do this

1-Power on the player with no disk in the drive

1- Press "PAUSE" on the remote

2-Enter "1472" on the remote (Write down the # you see on the desplay)

3-Press the UP arrow (Write down the # you see on the display)

4- Press the Up Arrow 2nd time and write the # you see again
So I need these info (when you press arrow up you see 1 --- something
arrow up again you see 2 --- something)

1 --- ??
2 --- ??
3 --- ??
4 --- ??
5 --- ??
6 --- ??
7 --- ??
keep pressing arrow up and writing down all # displayed until you back to 1 ---- ?? again. Then Press Return and you exit (Don`t worry nothing has been changed). After I get more info on your drive then I can tell you what to try

Yes you can go back to original stated, if you mess up
but have to make sure you copy down
what you see on the display
when you doing the hack. So that you know what it was originaly
after hack , if didn`t work, then just change it back to original
very simple

I did the region hack, but it didn`t work, just a blank screen appears :( in dvd mode, playing dvd, there is sound but isn`t screen :(((( i forgot to write down the original codes, so can you help me ? Maybe if you have the original codes ... please!! it`s very important for me!

So, reply to myself:

If you phuck off your DVD player, because you were in a hurry, or you pushed wrong numbers/buttons, and the hack didn`t work, just a blank screen appeared, simply do the hack AGAIN!

Seen on another forum:
Multi-Region hack:

Power on the player with no disk in the drive
Wait for the "No Disc" message to appear
Press Pause on the Remote
Enter 3, 1, 4, 1, 5, 9 on the Remote (the word COdE or FF appears on the display)
Enter 0 on the Remote (0 = All Regions, 1 = Region 1, 2 = Region 2, etc.)
Press Pause on the Remote
Power the player off, wait 30 seconds and then power back on

Hi, I have a home theater Zenith DVT-312, Zone 1. I used your instructions and these numbers were showed on the screen: 55 - 53 - 00 - 69 - 15 - 00 - 28 - 22. Now, can you please help me with the programation to play all zones dvd`s and vc`ds.
