Does the philips 750 hack make my 723 a region free or a region 1?

I used the 222 222 005 255

The reason i am confused is because, i qoute from the http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/info/multiregion/full/philips750.asp page:

"How to change the region setting of your Philips DVD-750 to a Region 1 compatible machine"

and then a little further in the text:
"To convert this player for multi-region playback"

So whats true?
