Page 1 of does anyone have a remote hack for the pacific dvd-1002 ?

im looking for a multi-region hack for the pacific dvd-1002. i have tried the hack for the 750 but it will not work.

I`m looking for the hack too, I found one on another site, but it didn`t work, so there is no point posting it here. Just have to wait I guess. Excellent machine for £85, plays everything, including DVD-R and DVD-RW.

Apparently this one does work, i can`t get it to, but hope others have better luck

Ensure Region 2 DVD is in the Player

>1. Press "setup"

>2. Press "1" for region 1 or press "2" for region 2...press "7" for bypass
>Region code.

>3. Press "PAUSE/STEP"

>4. Press "previous" (This is ¦<< )

>5. Press "next" (This is >>¦ )

>6. Press "setup"

i tried this hack and it worked, it also plays rce discs on my machine, no macro hack yet though i will persevere. i noticed that the "setup" menu is the same as the dansai 852, but the region hack and macro hack doesn`t work on the pacific 1002. can`t understand why your machine doesn`t accept the hack, maybe the old saying if at first you don`t succeed comes into play? p.s i don`t think i had a dvd in the machine.

I tried this hack and it worked first time with no problems. I did not use no. 7 to bypass region code i just pressed 1 for region "1". Hope you can get it to work now. cheers.

I`ve tried it again and again, with still no luck. You guys that have got it to work, is there anthing special you did appart from what I posted, also, is there anything displayed to show that it has worked?? I admit to being totaly foxed by this one.

Don`t despair, Bake, you`re not the only one it doesn`t work for! I have a 1002 and have tried the hack above with no success. It is an excellent machine, though, and if anyone is interested, I tried it with a non-standard VCD (see www.kvcd.net for info) and it plays these with no problem. We just keep looking ...

the hack that bake posted does work, i`ve had it workin` for 3 weeks now.............if anyone has a macrovision disabler hack i would love to know wot it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanx :)
keep tryin fellas, it worked straight away for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
family members have bought 3 so far and i got it to work on theirs too!!!!!
just a suggestion, but try doin` it with the cd drawer open ;)

Worked for me too, as sniper said there`s no indication until you put a region 1 DVD in to see if it works. Thanks all!!!
