as soon as the machine switches on with no dvd in, the menu scrren will read no disc in the right hand corner of your tv press pause as soon as that appears then use the region hack

Doesn`t matter if theres a disc in or not Loz, just wait `til the dashes disappear, press stop and hack it!
But glad ya got it going...and I just replied to the other post! (_8(I) D`oh!!!!
