Page 1 of alba 108 dvd player....help needed

I am planning to buy myself an Alba 108 dvd player....could some please tell me that `out of the box` is it region locked?? which regions can it play ?? without a bios hack or a keyboard hack.
does it play dvd`s and dvd-r / cd-r and cd-rw and mp3 discs??

Try searching the forums for info.I think there is a piece on getting it to play vcd`s.But wait! why would you buy an Alba? there past history in dvd is appalling,with constant problems playing numerous titles.Spending just alittle more would get you something with more lasting power,like the Daewoo 6000D,which plays everything you can chuck at it,but without the glitches.Beware.
