Page 1 of Pacific DVD 750
Hack Help Forum
I have a Pacific 750 and class it as being quite good. I have entered all the codes needed to play justabout anything, but I cann`t get my video to tape any of my films in colour. Whenever I try to record from a DVD or VCD the sound is good and the picture is good but always in black & white.
Does anyone have a solution for me.
As quoted in the Hardware Forum on this page..."Your TV can`t handle an NTSC signal : is there a setting in your DVD player to set it to output PAL signal ?
Alternatively, connect to the TV via an RGB-enabled SCART socket (assuming it has one), select the RGB option in your DVD set up menu : this overrides NTSC/PAL issues."
Just a thought.
Is your DVDoutput signal RGB? If so, I think it will record in black and white (although I am no expert!). Try setting it to S-VHS(CVBS) using the "video/y" button on the handset.
how were you able to play VCD`s on it i can`t is there any crack?
It must be one of the older models i have one of these bought 4-5 months ago it plays vcd and does multi region but has no macro disable function when a vcd is in it flashes up vcd1.1
I bought my DVD-750 from Asda about 4weeks ago and I`ve got the Multiregion hack to work but no luck with the Macrovision I don`t think. Does any sort of message flash up when the Macro is disabled or does the screen just stay blank? Also, can this fairly new version of the player play VCD`s or SVCD`s? Is there a hack or was this just with the older models... I`m fed up of playing just Mp3 and DVD`s on it!
I bought one of these in Peterborough ASDA last week and it will play anything thrown at it.
The manual of some players has a sticker on to identify it as an updated(sic) model with VCD / SVCD removed.
You cannot have multi region and macrovision "off" selected at the same time but both do work.
My advice is visit Peterborough and get them quick before the powers of be realise
