Has anyone got the hack for this player?
Is it the same as any of the other Hitachi players on the list?

It`s actually a Samsung do a search in this forum as the hack has been covered in great detail.

hi i was wandering if anyone could help me, ive got a hitachi dvp315 ive tryed the hack when you hold play/stop together,it go to region two ok but it doesnt say if it got to mutli region when i press 9 ive try playing cdr/vcd but my player come up with no disc if you can help email me PLEASE ..........thanks

What actually happens? Do you get "02" on the screen after you`ve entered the key sequence? If so, what actually happens when you press 9?

This has absolutely nothing to do with the region hack. (The region system applies *only* to DVDs, not to VCDs or anything else.) The DV-P315 simply doesn`t like CD-Rs, full stop - the laser cannot read them reliably, which is why the player thinks there`s no disc inserted.

when i press play/stop i can get it to go on to region 2 its shows at top left of screen but when i press 9 there is not number display so i dont no if this has put it to mutli region i guess not as i cant still play cdr`s

I have an Hitachi DV-P315 and it can only play DVDs. I have been searching the net, and not only the net, looking for an upgrade to make it play DivX and CDs. But reading your message on this forum I discovered that there is a hardware problem: the lens cannot read CDs properly. Can you please give me more details about this subject or at least tell me where can I find more info about it
