Any ideas if this player plays VCD`S, if not can it be hacked. I`ve seen the hack for multi region but want to know about VCD`S.

Andy yes the dansai does play vcds also svcd and is multi reigion only thing missing is the facility to disable the macrovision. but is still a great buy.

macrovision is what prevents you from copying from dvd to vhs tape.
