Page 1 of Fond Farewell (to most of you!)

My daughter and I have been playing this game since a friend recommended it to us back in May or so. We have played two grems each since then (the Johnstown XXX line and the Morley`s Dog line were mine -- the Bill the Goat & SpitChokenXXX lines were hers). When we renewed our grems this time, we decided to add a few more as the numbers in the game had seriously dwindled -- and we wanted to try out a few new strategies to see if we (or anyone else) had a chance of dethroning Steamboat at the top of the all time board. We added Yukon Cornelius, Ralph, and Uncle Tobias -- and the seven had been moving up the board -- ready to try some of the ideas we had for making a run at Steamboat. Well, now the rules have seriously changed -- and yes, we did refuse some challenges because we quickly saw the way to gain BIG points -- and while we figured that out -- so did others. We were also refused a few times -- and that was completely acceptable -- we were doing it so some didn`t get huge advantages over others -- it seems some other owners had the same idea (appropriately).

Anyway -- our refusals, etc have lead to a few people going out of their way to mouth off about it -- and has led to our grems sitting high in the standings -- but WAY low on points -- most of our challenges come from those with MASSIVE advantages on us -- but we`re also the highest ranked grems for them to challenge. Bottom line is that it`s just not fun -- not even a little bit.

My little girl and I would like to thank all of the regulars who have put up such great challenges over the past several months. This served as a nice diversion -- and a great place to take out one`s frustrations. When a few people find it necessary to use foul language (cleverly ?? disguised by putting spaces between the letters) and make references to inappropriate things (a device I was told to put on and stick it somewhere), it`s time for us to leave.

The six other grems are already dead and Yukon will die as soon as I complete this -- I`ve played out all challenges made to me -- except for the accidental refusal to Secret (I accepted all his others to the other grems) -- and I hope that you all are able to collect the points for the challenges I have made.

I never realised all those grems were owned by the same people! Hope you reconsider some time down the line (I`m sure the rules will change again within the next 2 months or so) and you`ll be missed over here - you and your small army of gremlins!
