Page 1 of Microstar 2.2ghz PC at PC World
General Forum
Anyone got any experience of the above PC ?
£799 sounds a great price for the spec.
Onboard sound and graphics. Don`t really like that. I like to be able to customise my PC. I find the PCs at PCWorld aren`t as well built as some high street stores and I find the service not too good either.
I`m waiting for a new PC to be built this week (first new one in two years). I chose a high steet store over this offer for the reasns above.

Ok, i`d have to add a decent sound card, but it says it comes with the GeForce 4 graphic card which should be ok, no?
This is virtually identical to the PC sold by Aldi a few months back. Lidl are also selling one from next Thursday.
This machine does not have on-board graphics, AFAIK.
Do a search on the Bargain Forums under "Aldi" - there were loads of postings on this PC, I seem to recall :-)

Medion P4 2.2ghz at Toys R Us. Twice the harddrive space (80Gb), GeForce4 graphics card (seperate), s***eload of software you cant dload for free on the net (legally :P).... £899.
Does have an on board sound card though but nothing`s perfect.
Even more like the one at Aldis.... same manufacturer.
Microstar, Median ? They`re just name badges : the PCs are identical if you look at them :-)
No different from Yamaha DVD players being made by Philips :-)

I got the 2GHz version of this pc last month.
It is an excellent system and performs really well. The graphics are not onboard - it is a Nvidia Geforce 4 MX card with TV out.
My advice is get it!!
