I am going on holiday to Paris for a few days and want to take the Kodak with me.
I have some Uniross 1300mAH Ni-MH batteries that I use as spares and I was wondering if I can re-charge them in the camera using the docking station?
I have a 5 hour charger for them but that`s slower than the docking station and I don`t want to have to take both?
Has anyone tried this?
Would it make any difference if I bought some 1600mAH batteries?
Any help appreciated

I went to prague for six days and took my DX3700 with me plus 8 NiMH 1600mAh rechargable batterys.
I took 50+ photo`s using the Kodak batterys and never had to use the spares. I had the quick view switch on and viewed the pictures several times in pubs.
The batterys are quite impressive in my opinion. If your just going for a few days then I`d just risk taking the Kodak batterys. If they run out you can always buy more when your over there.
As for using other batterys in the camera, why dont you just try it with the Uniross and get back to us with your results.

I don`t think you`re supposed to charge anything other than the supplied batteries in the docking station, but that may just be Kodak covering themselves.
r8sso - how was Prague?
RE: Kodak DX3700 Digital Camera Owners!
Prague was good thanks Rich.
It`s a fantastic city and can recomend it to anyone, old or young. The buildings are fantastic and the women there are just as nice. Went to the biggest night club in eastern/central europe, ordered 3 pints of larger and got stung for a staggering £0.89!!!

Groovy - been a while since I was there, so good to hear it`s still good value for lager (and it`s lovely stuff, too!)

Thanks! It may damage the camera or the batteries! Thats why I asked!
As you said, the camera batteries do last a long time and if I have 4 of the other batteries fully charged I think I proberbly won`t need a charger.
The only thing is I do like to have the screen on to take pictures as it helps to frame the shot, which does drain the batteries.
Have you tried using Alkaline in the camera. I thought I could take some cheap ones I have as well, just in case!

I`ve just go back from skiing in USA.
I took spare batteries and a charger but never needed them.
the batteries in the Kodak are great and seem to last a long old time.
