So far it looks like even this cynical plot, along with the culture wars and whatever other god awful far right wing tactic stolen from the GOP to cling onto power they've jumped on, hasn't stopped them losing a bunch of councils.

Which, if you look at the predicted numbers, means that if the 2 million disenfranchised voters had been able to vote, the result would have been even more devastating

Flipped open my wallet to show my driving licence before being asked and I doubt it was given enough of a glance to even determine it wasn't a Tufty club membership.

Nice young lady asked if I had ID, I flashed my driving licence, then she proceeded to chat me up for the next 5 minutes while I waited to get my voting slip
