I see Priti Patel has been having off-the-record meetings with Tory donors again. But unlike last time, she won't get fired this time, because that would mean Boris might have to fire himself for doing the same things.

Meet your new Foreign Secretary, Liz Truss.

Just when you think you'd hit rock bottom, someone pulls out a pneumatic drill and carries on digging.

Cool, fuel shortages now! Cool.

If only there was some kind of freedom of movement where we could recruit more drivers from other nearby countries? But, you know, let's not have people coming over here taking the jobs it turns out we just didn't want to do anyway, like fruit picking or waiting tables and cleaning guest accommodation.

I suspect the panic buying is going to be worse than for the first lockdown, because the shelves are half empty already.

If 2% of the population had just voted remain, we could have at least gone to penalties and maybe not be in this mess (which I hope is just going to last a few months but with a reactionary government that is only interested in appealing to feels and not facts, I suspect not).

How do you get a moron to panic? Tell 'em not to.

Popped out for a bit, and they're queueing around the block for fuel.

A bit of fruit and veg down the market if you're wondering. Human fuel, not car fuel

Brazil PM says Boris asked if they could do a quick deal to send us turkeys for Christmas, UK government denies it.

You couldn't make this up.
