Page 1 of Daffy ducks or climate change?
General Forum
I suspect the former but took my grandson for a walk round Sefton Park lake last Tuesday and there's Mallard ducklings, at least two broods.
Googled it and you do get some well out of sync broods but very odd to see them paddling round the one bit of the lake that wasn't frozen over.

A walk around Sevvy Park with your grandson mate.
Magic that, love it.

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..
Sounds idyllic doesn't it.
My other daughter, his auntie came to and had just put Pokemon on her phone which he's obsessed with.
Bugger the ducks he's convinced there's a Pokemon behind every blade of grass and never drew breath the entire walk demanding to look on the phone.
Love him to bits though.

😂 Yes, I honestly didn't believe that when me mam (I'm a Londoner but I feel I should adopt her home accent for this bit) told me dat. Especially as I'd been to Central Park.
When we were kids visiting Nan+Grandad, we mostly went to Red Rocks. It was only when my Nan was in a nursing home which was near the park that I finally went to see it.
Also, dragging this thread even more off topic (sorry Snaps!), my Nan lived in Borough Road and I remember going to see Tranmere play and there were about 100 people in the entire crowd. It was way less intimidating than going to Highbury.

Only time I've been in Tranmere's ground was for an England v Scotland women's match when my daughter was into playing football.
Faye White (Arsenal legend) took out a Scots player near the side line which carried her over the line.
We were about three throws back and I can still remember thinking 'Holy s***, Tony Adams'

I went to a game maybe 10 years ago, and gosh it got a lot bigger and more full!
