5G needed for automated cars...thats another can of worms, allowing a car to navigate with sensors that can and will go wrong, leading to deaths. At least with a person at the wheel , you can spot when something is wrong with the car.
And why the push for automated cars? Simple they put all the lorries drivers out of business by saving on paying wages, and have 40 ton automated lorries, which are pure carnage on wheels.

But no, there will never be fully automated HGVs on the road - ever, not in the numbers we have now. Automated driving is very much still in its infancy, and will only be used very sparingly by the elite. We're decades away from Minority report superhighways
