Johnson's Government

Seems a new thread is warranted as Brexit is done and never to be spoken of again.

Seems to be going well so far

Well my Wife who is Scottish is wild about Boris saying that he is not going to split up the UK, by not give Scotland another  Independence referendum.

I say to the Wife, there was a vote in 2016 and that was supposed to be a Generation vote, and how is Scotland going to pay its way, with the most of the Countries earners on poor wages, where is the tax coming from?

I do not want to see the UK split up, so I do give some plus points to Boris standing up to the 'wee Sturgeon woman' as I call her who is desperate to be independant and return to the EU, why? because she is hoping to get EU subsides, to balance the books. No way will that work! Scotland would just be another Greece dependant on hand outs.

And of course to bury the headlines on tomorrow’s right leaning papers, the Prime Borister reveals once more that he is unable to use a prophylactic.

I'm not sure it does or it matters.

I suspect there will be many out there who are on Patel's side in this fight...

Actually I was thinking of Floods, Coronavirus, ‘Peace’ in Afghanistan, Communal riots in Delhi as alternate headlines, but that’d work too.

Well that was a bit of news yesterday, with the PM's girlfriend preggers, and them getting engaged to be married.

Wonder if she popped the question? being the 29th Feb on a leap year, when a woman can get down on bended knee with a ring.

Shows you he is not thinking about politics all the time and may actually be human after all

So the political advantage side of it never crossed his mind?

Boris seen in a Coronavirus testing lab on telly wearing a white lab coat.

So after all the flack that he has not been doing a 'hands on' tour, I think he was forced into this PR exercise.

So does he care about Joe public V coronavirus containment in the UK....well I leave that up to you to decide

I think he's fine, how could he not care when he has no real control who those he comes into contact with come into contact with.

The truth is that Cobra meetings have been going on for weeks but he hasn't needed to be there, which isn't good enough for our hypersensitive 24 hour media who are always looking for a story.

Still, his announcement of an enquiry into whether Priti Patel broke the ministerial code breaks off one line of attack whilst also allowing him to deal with the potential negative Home Office culture at the same time...
