On the other hand, this looks promising when it comes to improving survivability...

Basically, in some people hit hardest by Covid 19, a drop in the number of a certain type of T-cell in the immune system was noticed. And there is an existing drug that can be used to boost those specific T-Cells.

My feeling for some time is that treatments against the effects of CV-19 will be our saving grace long before a vaccine is found (if ever), rather like there is no cure for HIV, but retro-viral drugs mean that no one need die of AIDS anymore.

They talked about this on on More Or Less on R4 last week, but it's now coming out in the press more but basically, if Boris Johnson had instigated the lock down 1 week earlier, WE WOULD HAVE HAD A QUARTER (1/4) OF THE DEATHS WE HAVE NOW

I'd highly recommend listening to More Or Less, because it also bursts the bubble on the real number of tests the UK has actually performed - many are counted twice, 2 swabs are counted as 2 tests, etc.
The UK has never actually carried out more than 69,000 individual tests in one day.

Here we go again, yet another top advisor Dominic Commings making his own bendy rules up for lockdown, and refusing to
resign, making up lame excuses. He was on the TV news trying to justify his position and really stuttering over it. All the time I was shouting "sack the B*****" , considering that most of us are keeping to the rules, he made a pure mockery of them.
All they top bods get is a caution by police, and we get police on horseback in the park, checking to see if we spend more than 5 minutes with bums on seats
