What an irony!
Tonga is one country on the planet that has been largely Covid free (didn't get their first case until last October)... and now has to rely on international aid, which raises concerns about importing Covid alongside that.

Not the first time diseases have been imported into countries/cultures though, so we've been here before but hopefully a bit more knowledgeable these days.
Only problem is, we're human, so someone will take a shortcut through carelessness or just because they're not bothered...

not wishing to start a "panic buy", but my local chemists still have signs up saying no tests in stock (one told me they came and went within an hour) but they're available to order on line at the moment.
I guess with recent changes, even more ppl are using lateral flow tests.

I think we'll find out over the coming weeks. Certainly, for me, the LFTs were being used much more since people in same household stopped needing to isolate and do daily tests and also people with Covid could go out after negative LFTs on days 6 and 7. Lots of chemist's around here struggled with stock the last few weeks.
