Page 137 of Coronavirus, anyone starting to get worried?

Nope, had all AZ before. I knew that they were giving *only pfizer as the booster, whether you had that before or not (not entirely sure why - may be the better efficacy, fewer side effects, less risk?).

I only realised she was giving me moderna as the needle was going in my arm when I made some comment and she told me which flavour I was getting.

Anyway, moderna is similar to pfizer in that is an mrna vaccine unlike AZ and has similarly good rates of protection.

My arm hurts a bit like someone punched me hard in the shoulder but no other side effects so far, unlike I had with AstraZeneca.

*clearly I was wrong about that

booked my booster, have to wait until beginning Jan, then missus tried to book, nothing available local at all! (IoW is only local if you're a crow ;) )

fingers crossed when she checks later they'll have added more slots

On the way back from a couple of days in Edinburgh.
Compulsory masks in shops, restaurants etc. Quite a few shops shut and the busiest thing in a very empty mall in Leith was the drop in vaccine centre.

wow, friend went to London on Sunday, said they were going to go in some of the famous shops, but  they saw how busy they were so didn't bother! Said a Christmas market  was busy, but not too bad.

back at home, missus has booked booster jab for Christmas Eve, first thing, fingers crossed no reaction to it!
