I've just posted this up with little hope as Twitter never responds in my experience and I've not got many followers if you weed out the bots. Fairly self explanatory.

I didn’t understand how Twitter worked, I asked for help there and all I got was weirdos . So I deleted it, so many odd people or maybe I just t don’t want to be bother or I’m just getting old. Here is ok this is the only place I chat. Hope you will get help.

Tried that Rob and cleared cache. Out of the first 7 tweets 1 promoted and 3 'You might be interested'
Muted 'You might be interested in' 3 out of the first 4 headed by that phrase.
Any suggestion for a better Twitter app than Twitters own? Tried Tweetcaster. Hate it.
EDIT: Update. Trying Friendly for Twitter. Initial impression favourable and it's removed those notifications.

Possible as I don't have the problem on Chrome but it's more of a faff using a browser on my phone than an app. Still liking Friendly on Twitter so I'll stick with that for the time being.
