That eagle serenade scene from the pilot episode of Airwolf was one of the coolest things I'd seen on TV at that point...

To tell the truth the only reason I watched the series back in the day, was that one of my favorite film actors was in it as the pilots sidekick, and that was 'Ernest Borgnine' who like many an old film actor had to move on to a TV series to make ends meet.

True for me too actually, I loved him in The Black Hole and Escape From New York and was pleased to see something with him in again.

Didn't have a clue who Jan-Michael was at the time...

I discovered Ernest Borgnine from Airwolf, it was much later that I realised he was in some classic movies.

They were a classic pairing and the show although probably dated now was must see tv for a whole generation
