RE: [VIDEO] Brexit

A lot to be said today about the fantastic, positive, good natured, humorous march but I'm going to pinch the words of journalist @nickcohen4 who is particularly good at this stuff

Quote:
God alone knows how many tens of thousands of good people at #PeoplesVoteMarch. They will be able to say that they stood up against the lies and the enormous cowardice of Tory and Labour leaders, and did what they could for their country

Anything more? I just don't know. Spoke to Labour people who described leaderless Labour MPs "hiding under their duvets". My @ObserverUK colleagues have spoken to Tories who know that, if they defend the national interest, their careers will be over.

British politics is being hit from all directions. A fanatical Right that would rather burn the country down than admit it's in the wrong. A hopelessly ill-equipped prime minister. A crackpot leader of the opposition and a failed media.

In the midst of it all, those marchers gave me hope. They at least know that something has to give - and fast.

"Anyway, latest news; petition woman gets death threats. I'm shocked that I'm not shocked. This actually feels like the new normal for this country. I actually asked where the balance was. Surely someone should have counted how many people wish a lightning bolt on Nigel Farridge."

It appears that this only happened after Guido Fawkes published this:

Doesn't excuse it in the slightest, but no one's hands are clean here...

I know we've spoken elsewhere, but now I know what you were referring to earlier. The only thing I can relate to this is what was deftly referred to in Minority Report as 'an orgy of evidence'. They've run this story without the slightest bit of common sense.

My dad was 70 when he died. The woman who set up this petition is 77. The person or persons who wrote those social media posts was way, way younger than that, based solely on the syntax & vocabulary alone, and I'm not an expert.

That is entirely possible and that is the problem with this social media focussed world we currently live in.

Ask yourself one question though, if that had been a 77 year old Conservative/Ukip/Leave voter, would anyone be espousing that view or would that person be hounded with zero sympathy?  And answer honestly.

This is our problem and why actually any doubts are not being dismissed in general.

I hate it, this whole faux outrage thing is doing my head in...

Oh lawd, they actually passed Article 13.

Suddenly I'm not so sad about leaving.

Article 13 seems terrible, but the way Google has heavily pushed it's opposition to it, I am confused as to how terrible it is.
