the petition is on over 3 million now - if nothing else it draws attention to it, obliviously there will be people voting multiple times, and some for the fun of it etc, but interesting none the less

I've written to my wet rag of an MP (always votes with party and keeps her head down but at least not an extremist). Would urge everyone to do the same. Be straightforward, polite and don't ramble. Easy enough to do online with a search. Salutations have been altered to protect the innocent.

Hey Babe,
I have watched in horror as the close, contentious vote to leave the EU has morphed into "the will of the people" trampling all other considerations even as it has become clear that this could cause untold self-harm. Doubtless you are probably receiving messages urging that the advisory vote has to be followed through to the bitter "No Deal" end. I can't imagine that once no deal kicked-in that those who pushed for it would actually be happy with the catastrophic consequences - especially in Kent.
Given the opportunity, I sincerely hope you vote to revoke Article 50 to give ourselves enough breathing space to consider what we are doing to the country.
Kind regards
Sir Alfredo Noakes

County
But FWIW, looking at the comments of the county's most read newspaper (online edition) the vast majority of commenters are now anti-brexit (evidenced by up/downvoting), in stark contrast to the same comments sections 2 years ago

I think it's a no "Deal" joke..."
That was too esoteric even for me.

Anyway, latest news; petition woman gets death threats. I'm shocked that I'm not shocked. This actually feels like the new normal for this country. I actually asked where the balance was. Surely someone should have counted how many people wish a lightning bolt on Nigel Farridge.

To be fair you don't have to do much these days for someone to give you a death threat. :/ Not that we should accept that, it's just not remotely surprising anymore.

Estimates say over 1 million. Waiting for leavers to claim only a few thousand whereas absolutely fine for Nige to say that "20 million leavers are marching in spirit" with the Gammonball Run.
