Another Brexit success:
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/brexit-milk-cream-export-eu-b1838200.html
Quote:
Figures published by the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board, citing HMRC data, also showed that in February 2020, just under 76,500 tonnes of milk and 901 tonnes of bulk cream were exported to Europe – compared to just 131 and 436 tonnes of milk and cream sent respectively in February 2021
So that's the fishing industry and farming industry, both which according to polls voted overwhelmingly to leave, have been screwed over by Boris. Part of me is enjoying the irony in this.

Everyone appears to have missed this, which is a surprise considering all the fuss made over animal standards with New Zealand and the US:

Still waiting for that queue of countries begging to trade with us to show up. The US was supposed to be at the front of the queue, I was told

I was just on my way to the sunlit uplands but I ran out of petrol.
Wondering whether this is going to turn into a full on, self-inflicted crisis.
The Guardian sums it up:

All these problems are directly being caused by Brexit, but the BBC, business leaders and Labour can't mention Voldermort in case they lose viewers, customers or votes.
And these are all down to Boris and his deal.

I've no problem accepting that Brexit is there in the mix, but this article clearly shows (if you accept it) that there are more fundamental issues at work, some of which can still be laid at the door of the government...

Like back in 2000, there wouldn't be a shortage if the media wasn't whipping the public up into a panic-buying frenzy. There are enough tanker drivers and there's enough fuel. Our local rag has published 3 stories on this subject alone today, and it's a bloody saturday.
Brexit has got very little to do with the moron in a people carrier in front of me topping up his tank with 20 litres when I know it holds at least 50. 70% of the morons queueing up to get fuel don't need to be there, or we'd have this all day, every day.
