You are best off using something like Privacy Badger to block the tracking sites in the first place than clearing them out.

What slows things down is the crappy ad javascript code and endless requests they make before they give you an advert. Clearing the cookies out probably temporarily makes them think you are a new high value user who should see targetted adverts that are often delevered by primary ad servers, then after a few days you'll be sent filler ads from mop up networks that get served after many more hops.

HTML 5 Notification:Quote:
Tired of Flash? Many are. And now there's HTML5 which embeds video and media into the page itself. So that you will know when this bleeding edge web technology is being used we have built in notification for it. Check it out!

The inexorable slide into a world without Flash continues, with Google revealing plans to phase out support for Adobe's Flash Player in its Chrome browser for all but a handful of websites. And the company expects the changes to roll out by the fourth quarter of 2016.

A bunch of our Citrix users couldn't access the HMRC PAYE site earlier. Guess what the culprit was? Yup...

That still uses Flash? :o

I just received a custom Macbook case with a picture of my last dog Minna, from Casetify. It wasn't the first place I tried to get it on, that was a site which used Flash and on my Macbook the form where you enter your email address... didn't seem to understand the keyboard and there was no way to press an @ key so the only way to enter it was to copy and paste it from somewhere else.

I just gave up and went onto Casetify at that point.

The whole reason that I'm getting a new laptop is that the Vista Core 2 Duo 1.5 GHz machine that happily streamed 720p Video with Flash 13-odd 8 years ago, judders and glitches with Flash whatever it is today. Plus with Flash enabled, Firefox process grows to over 1GB of memory space in 20 minutes of use, and then crashes. Only trouble is that all the anime streaming sites still use Flash, and even if they went to HTML, all the video advertising they serve is Flash.

Firefox sets kill flash schedule
