They change HDMI to Component or computer connections, so you can record from a box with HD output into anything that has the input connections. So for instance If I wanted to record a programme on ITV that is in HD from a Sky or Humax receiver will allow me to copy it, but still in HD.

So have they managed to bypass HDCP (High Definition Copy Protection) then?
