Headphone(s) recommendations please...
Morning all
I`ve had an ear infection since Christmas eve which is now getting to be quite annoying.
However, it also means that I can`t wear my in-ear headphones that I like so much. This, in turn means that my commute to work is subject to the noises of other passengers on the train which I find difficult to tune out (God I sound like a moaning old git)....but I`m sure most fellow commuters would agree with me.
Anyway...I have some closed back headphones already, but they`re huge and I`ll look like a right muppet wearing those out of the house.
So with that in mind, can anyone recommend any half-decent closed back headphones that aren`t huge?
For a point of reference, I consider the Sennheiser HD-201s that I had a while back to be "huge".
Thanks in advance and Happy New Year to you.
Miles

pfft just get some largish speakers Im sure your fellow passengers would love to share your music collection init ;)

Just reminded me of a sketch from a Lenny Henry show ("DJ Delbert Wilkins") where he has braces to which he fixes large speakers :D

bargin I bet you could pick up said braces in some sales and pop off to richer sounds for some budget street preacher speakers and an amp ;)

How about some Skullcandy Lowriders?
Can`t wear mine in the summer, make my ears too warm, but good when the weathers cold. Sound good too.
I`d rather wear my Sennheiser CX 500 most of the time, but they are the ear canal type so no good while you have your ear infection

RE: Headphone(s) recommendations please...
I was using (and liking) my Sennheiser CX 400`s up till last week.
It`s contradictory to my requirements, but I think I`m going to find that the smaller closed back `phones don`t provide the noise isolation that I like so much about my CX400s.
I think that I`ll either need to cover my ears with closed back `phones and live with looking like a muppet, or use smaller `phones and accept some form of outside noise during playback (as well as a little sound leakage, but that won`t bother me so much as my fellow commuters ;)).

Grado SR60 / SR80 are cracking, brilliant headphones.
Only issue is they leak a lot of sound out (but that`s what makes them sound so good, as covering the headpieces muffles the sound).
What I`m listening to...

Yeah and I`ll just keep mumbling "Has anyone seen my baseball?" (That`s my wife`s joke!)
