Page 1 of PC DVD Question

Just bought a nice shiny Compaq Presario PC with DVD drive and MediaMatics DVDExpress software. Problem is, this player has a maximum number of 5 region changes before it locks permanently. Not sure of which hardware drive it is ....

Does anyone have any idea how I can get round this? Is there a configuration file that stores the number of changes made which I could edit? Or is there a utility I could download which allows me to change the region without using up any more of my five lives?

first of all u need to get the model number of the drive then go to,
http://www.7thzone.com to check if the drive is region locked.
if it is just the software then u can download dvd genie to get around this.
if it is locked u may need to update it if possible.
