The Teaching Fraternity...

Gavski (Elite) posted this on Thursday, 19th June 2008, 13:49

I was just wondering how many of us teachers are now on here?
If so what and where?

I am Head of Media and also teach drama...
In Dorset...

And how many more people we can p*** off by telling about how long it is before our summer holidays....

:)

my wife is a key stage one teacher......she`s not on here but i occasionally show her the odd funny post.

She`s part time at the moment - only 2 days a week and she`ll finish at the end of this term as we`re having another baby.

I gotta tell ya......all the holidays, the early finish and a bloody good pension. I`d put up with any old sh*t from any council estate kids for that :D

What do you do on teacher training days or are these just additional holidays?

Additional holidays?
How very dare you...

Well it has been known to go and play paintball or do arty things or days out with nice dinners...so we are def working still :o

Or pretend to sit in a meeting for a couple of hours.

...do my head in at half the schools I visit to fix stuff, not that I`m on the road for the next 3 weeks (not bitter at all about it).

I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.
