Surface - Am I the only one watching this?

This new American TV series is one of the best in a long time. It`s about an alien lifeform in the sea. I`ve only seen 2 episodes & the time flies, There is (at the moment) a baby monster on the lines of `the Gremlin` & gigantic sea creatures with (for a TV series) really good special effects.

yeah i`m enjoying it as well, it`s about time we had some decent sci-fi/fantasy shows, thresholds not bad either. also consider, supernatural, bones & invasion.

downloading them but saving them up to burn to disc and watch in one go.

Just started to watch, seen the first episode, very impressed, looking foreward to the rest!

Thershold - awful acting, ridiculous plot, 1 dimensional characters

Bones - the worst sfx bar none.. they even use green screen for backgrounds whilst driving..

Invasion - hmmmmm

Supernatural - the OC meets Smallville meets X-Files = rubbish

Battlestar Galactica - the dogs bollocks.. nothing can touch it..

Thershold - awful acting, ridiculous plot, 1 dimensional characters
probably why i like it, it reminds me of start trek TNG :D i`d class this show (threshold) as "ok" but it could get better, tng/ds9/voy/ent all had poor chemistry between the charactors in the arly shows, but they (almost) all improved loads.

yeah, the sfx are a bit pants, especially the hologarph bollox, but hey, it`s popcorn tv ;) better than watching the soaps :p


Invasion - hmmmmm
totaly agree, it needs to be given a couple more episodes for me to develop an opinion, it could go either way SPOILER:
it`s looking like invasion of the body snatcher---"the tv show"

yup, trash tv, 2 bad episodes 1 average episode & 1 good episode, But it`s moving in the right direction ;)

yup,,,,,, season 2 has really set a fire under the arse of every sci-fi show this year,, it`s the top dog by far.



gonna watch the first few eps of criminal minds over the weekend, bit busy at the moment, i`ve got Smallville to watch first, this seasons looking brilliant so-far (don`s flame retardent jacket) & ep 4 of surface + ep 5 of supernatural.

also well worth a mooch is Medium with patricia arket (very sp) just "got all season 1 & about 3 or 4 eps from season 2, only watched the first 3 eps from s1, but it`s shaping up very nicely............

but by far the very very very best thing on tv a the moment is the superb HEX season 2 on sky 1, it`s got to be the best written best acted sci-fi/fantasy EVER i just can`t get enough, it`s utterly & completely underated, anyone that doesn`t like it must be mad. *

saw the openers tonight-mad as a bucket of toothbrushes but I quite enjoyed it
I did get the sense they were trying to tick all the boxes and that Molly woman must be the most annoying woman on TV apart from Carol Vorderman
and why didn`t Data laugh when someone mentioned Klingons?

So does it get even more bonkers after this-and will there be giant creepy crawlies or shall i just watch David Attenborough`s new prog?
