Page 1 of Just a really horrible e-mail - report to police?

No this isnt a joke in line with the Haggis/Hulk saga.

In my hotmail inbox i got an email titled `ever see kiddie porn?` and theres a link in it too

Obviously i havnt clicked on it but i want to forward it to the police - but can i find an e-mail address on the Cambridgeshire Constabulary`s website? Can i f*ck.... >:(

Also is this (Marksparks?) something the police would take seriously or would they just see this as Viagra-esque spam mail and do nothing about this.

I am really really pi**ed off about this >:( >:( >:(

I had the same, so I guess they are doing the rounds. I didn`t open it so don`t know (nor want to know¦) how "genuine" it was. Mailwasher deleted it.
I guess I should have reported it, but do they take any notice and to whom? Is there not some on-line official place we can inform apart from spam busters?
Even if it wasn`t "genuine", it is still a sick heading to find in your mail box.

most likely this email is to draw punters who are foolish enough - and download spyware to their PCs. Alternatively it might be Police doing a sting op?

I think www.police.uk is the main site - might be helpful.

That`s dreadful mate, I would ring your local station and ask, I may be wrong but I think there is a specific national task-force dedicated to this very thing and your local station should have all the details you need to report it,

Theres a page on there with a listing of all the spams doing the rounds and mine was listed up there - apprently its been reported already so good news i suppose.

I just hope they catch the f**kers responsible for this - no matter where they are. >:( >:(

This was the first of this kind. It was via my Hotmail account. Other e-mail addresses didn`t get it.
