Whoever it is .. i hope the debt collector`s dont get everythign and they are a nationwide store chain with big sales starting thursday (pay day!) .. harsh on those who are about to lose their jobs i know.. but i`m moving and need a tv for 6 months so dont want to spend loads on one i`m only going to be giving away at the end of it or selling cheaply

Now I`m not saying it`s them,but Dixons were expecting this year`s figures to be very disappointing.

I dont know if he was referring to high street, but unbeatable have gone tits up.

I was going to get my new telly from there too a few weeks ago, but I impulse purchased from Comet instead. Very glad I did now. I would have saved 60 quid on the telly but would have been stung 30 for delivery. But being the now now now person I am, I saw it in comet bought it, stuck it in the car and was setting it up before an online order would have been processed.

The margins they must be on must be miniscule. I heard from a guy who works in the trade that Ebuyer were struggling on their 5% model and had to do a bit of restructuring. I think their move towards being a bit of a tiny and hawking cheap Hong Kong LCDs and Plasmas has gone some way towards a recovery (but look how well that did for tiny in the long run!).

Cue a million threads about warranty issues in 5.....4........3.....

Unbeatable? As in the one owned by Capitol Sound And Vision who in turn own various Sony Centers around the country amoungst other things? Really...........who would have thought it. I wondered why the Sony Center in Leicester had been closed since friday for a stock take. ;)

I must say,I`ve used them several times over the years and found them fine to deal with.
