proline 2000 DVD Settings

glc50 (Harmless) posted this on Monday, 2nd July 2001, 22:00

Is there any way of adjusting the screen settings? I have a normal tv and would like the widescreen picture to fill my screen as much as possible. Any one can help? Also the audio is quieter than the output from my video.

Hi there and welcome to the DVD Reviewer Forums

This particular posting of yours would probably get more attention in the Hardware Forum. I appreciate that there was another Proline 2000 thread here in the General Forum that was posted some time ago.

Could you please copy and paste this posting into the Hardware Forum.

Thanks

Check the players manual rto see if it has a zoom option (it`s a clone of the Oritron 600 and this has a zoom mode), this will degrade the picture a LOT.

You can also set the TV mode on the player (see manual) to 4:3 Pan &Scan, but most discs prevent this from working as it degrades the picture quality.

Anyway why do you want to cut up to 50% off the picture

Watch them in widescreen as they were meant to be seen, you will get used to it
