Page 1 of Help with essay on Coleridge`s Rime of the Ancient Mariner

ok.. bit of background info.. I switched degrees this semester to BA(hons) English Literature and Film Studies from BA (hons) New Media Production.. after completing a year and half.. I have been allowed to join at the same stage on my new degree.. (year 2.. second semester)..

Now.. I have to write a 2000 word essay on the customary interpretation of the poem being that of a crime against nature.. and i just want to make sure I`m on the right track...

I`m leaning towards an argumentative essay.. disagreeing with the accepted analysis and prefering a view that deals with Coleridges opium addiction and it`s affect on his writings..

anyone out there help?

Can`t help u with the subject matter Haggis(though even I know about the albatross :( ) but my advice is what you`ve probably heard a thousand times b4 :
1) Answer the question(not as stupid as it may sound)
2) Make any claim you like - so long as u can substantiate it.

ah!.. you mistake me for someone else methinks.. let me just remind you exactly what i do...

I work full time night shift for a local newspaper 6.00pm to 2.00am.. then I go to University full time during the day..inbetween.. I look after my 7 month old little girl while my wife is at work..

I get 3-4 hours sleep a night... !!!.. oh.. and i still pay taxes!!!!....
