there is a collectors edition boxset coming out 11/9/01at around £30 ish. you get the film, a load of extras and a cd soundtrack. theres doing the same thing for a few kubrick films, eg. full metal jacket, 2001 a space oddysey.

I wouldn`t get too excited about this one if I wer you, it`s just the same bare bones Clockwork Orange disc already available, but you also get a soundtrack CD, poster and senitype film cell type thing (oooh) for your 30-odd quid.

It`s already been established that Stanley Kubrick`s films are all going to be pretty slim in terms of extras since he preferred them to speak for themselves (ditto Woody Allen). Thankfully there are a few gems though, Dr Strangelove and The Shining have some goodies with them.

Best bit of advice? Go for the R2 version. It`s got nothing over the R1 except the improved picture quality. Hope that helps!

:o)

Don`t bother with it - it`s crap! Save yourself the disappointment of yet another of Kubrick`s overrated "masterpieces"!
