I`ve just ordered my Azuda 890 from http://www.ultravideo.co.uk. Will have to wait 7-10 days due to the fuel crisis.
They tell me it is a Mico clone and not a features reduced version.
Bearing this in mind - the Mico is region free/video friendly - NTSC/PAL out so should!
DVD technology aint my s***, so will someone else confirm this. A Mico owner, perhaps.

I have the Mico and I have copied my region 1 disc of the Matrix ok.

To Carrot

Can you post a new message when you get your Azuda and tell me if it works ok and includes RGB and converts NTSC like mine ( the old model of the Mico did not have these)

A friend wants to buy one

Thanks

I`ll test macrovision on region 1. But will have to purchase a region 1 disc first.

I dont have any region 1 discs. But I do have 2 NTSC (Non-Region/No CSS). You want me to test if Output is NTSC-to-PAL?

I dont fully understand.

God Dammit - My Order Didnt Go Thru!!!

Carrot Cruncher (Competent) posted this on Monday, 18th September 2000, 17:16

Just rang up http:\\www.ultravideo.co.uk. The order for the Azuda DIDNT register with them, even though I received my invoice number by email.

My advice for those who have already ordered and heard nothing, ring them up or you could be waiting a life time

Yes, When you do hopefully get your player see if a region 1 NTSC is converted to PAL and you can record it Ok

Some region 1 site Info:

www.dvdpricesearch.net - Will find you the cheapest price

www.dv-depot.com - Was where I bought Matrix from and received it in about a week. Not the cheapest but given good reviews.

I have just ordered "Deep Impact" from www.video-now.com but it is on back order.

I can tell you unequivocally that the New Azuda 3000 has an RGB Scart and automatically converts NTSC. The new 3000 model also has faster transport (upto 64x) and 4 slo-mo modes...
