Should he stay or should he go??.............Sven`s no friend of mine.

I hope Real Madrid take him and his entourage (Turd Grip).

He`s done nothing to forward the football in this country - Cricket and Rugby have had some great performances of late, but our football is getting worse.

He belongs at Real Madird with the rest of the high paid moron squad.

Dont like the way he seems to always be looking for better deals with other clubs....Though the England results are not that bad when you compare to previous managers efforts, and Europe 04 was a failure because of a referee and no ambition/money bloated players some of whome have lost their hunger to play.

I think I would keep him. :) .

Yea because all the other England managers have been hugely successful.

Lets see, Sven the only Manager able to take us out of the Euro stages (other than when we were at home) we`ve only been beaten under him (in competitive matches) by France, Brazil and Portugal. When he took over we were not guranteed a place in the world cup, and he has bought us into the top 10 of the fifa rankings.

Not bad for a crap manager.

He should go. I have not met anyone who thinks his knowledge, tactics or persona are worth anywhere near the £5m that he is draining from the FA.

Only after endless public pressure did he even consider being adventurous. I`m sure the opposition in Euro 04 didn`t need a genius to guess the England side they would be facing.

If Harry Redknapp wasn`t at Pompey, I`d vote for him as the replacement.

I am not a fan of Sven, his womanising exploits and poor defensive style of play is not my cup of tea. Costs FA £5 million to recruit him and his squad selection seems identical to the ones the majority of football fans would pick.

We wanted Jams out, he took him out. We wanted Defoe in he put him in.

England needs new blood.

I like Sven, I think he`s been a good England manager. We`ve had a good record under him, and who can forget the 5-1 thrashing of Germany? But I do think we could do with a new manager with a different managing style. Allardyce perhaps?

From this week`s New Statesman:
Quote:
I sometimes wonder why Sven bothers to go to England games. He clearly has no role, nothing to do, a spare Swede at a veggie gathering. His staff won`t even sit beside him, judging by several glimpses of him at the Poland match, where he was on the bench all on his own, both seats either side empty. Poor sod, I thought, he`s run out of Big Issues to sell.

Presumably he does wander into the dressing room at half-time, looks around in a daze, offers a few banalities that are either ignored or have the reverse effect, as England usually do worse in the second half. Then, towards the end, when things get tough, he becomes transfixed, unable to stand up, far less shout, swear, jump about and punch the air, the way it shows you in all football management manuals.

Before and afterwards, he`s awfully nice to them, so Gary Neville has told us, loving and caring for them, listening to their moans, soothing egos, giving in to their whims, holding their hands, wiping their bums - which is a useful role, do not mock, all players need that sort of attention. On the other hand, they already have people who perform that function: their mums.

So what is the point of Sven? England have been so jammy, landed in the cushiest group, yet Sven is going to put us through agonies over the next, how long, I have the fixture list somewhere, oh no, we have a whole year to go, until October 2005, before England are safely into the 2006 World Cup finals.

Of course, England will qualify. Of course, Sven will keep his job. We know all that. What we don`t know is what Sven does. The main attractions of his job are the money and the women, excellent motivating forces, whether in politics or pop music, while the football is obviously a bit of a chore. For the next two years, he should stay at home. Send in a fax with the team sheet, then watch it at home on the telly with the rest of us.

It makes me laugh when people say "we`ve only lost three competitive matches and they were against Brazil, France and Portugal". Think of the nature of those defeats, especially Brazil and Portugal who both should have been beaten no problem. He is very, very weak and vastly overpaid.

The man should be judged on the results not who he is shagging, so I say keep him.

Very true, and as his results don`t match his wages (even slightly) sack him.
