only has the quote listed under Nicholson`s character in Mars Attacks, so maybe it just appears in that film. I`ve not heard it anywhere else.

Very possibley...I dunno if I still got Batman on tape (from TV). I`ll have to check on that. I know he says the line "Where does he get those wonderful toys?" in batman. Which is quite a cool line. :)

I`m pretty sure it`s in the playstation game Apocalypse `starring` Bruce Willis. One of his lines is something like " Can`t we all just get along?" Maybe you heard it from that too.

The LA riots in the early 90`s were sparked off by the acquittal of the police officers who beat the crap out of Rodney King without realising they were being filmed. Understandably aggrieved at such an obvious miscarriage of justice, some African-Americans took it on themselves to attempt to burn down parts of LA. During the riots, Mr King was wheeled out on TV to appeal for calm. During this appearance he said "Can`t we all just get along?" Unfortunately, this was an incredibly naive thing to say and I think he came in for some criticism at the time, which is probably why various filmmakers have used it as a bit of a joke, especially in Mars Attacks. I`m not sure, but footage of him saying it may well be used at the end of Natural Born Killers, when Oliver Stone has his little roundup of meeja superstars like King, OJ and the dipsh*t Menendez brothers.
