I Know this it going to sound stupid but i am new in the world of dvd and i wolud be very grateful if some could explain to me what people mean when they say Lip-sync errors.

As an early Encore DV450 owner I`m more than qualified to answer this, he jested.
It`s basically where the dialogue doesn`t quite match the picture, and the actors` moving mouths. I`ve also noticed it on BBC Choice, and it is very very annoying.
Sometimes it`s just a case of altering the delay time on your amplifier if you have one, but more often than not it`s a glitch in the firmware (set of instructions that the DVD player uses to work out what it`s supposed to be doing).
Thankfully for Encore owners recent firmware updates have cleared this, but there are still problems with some players at the cheaper end of the market.
