Need a new Contract Mobile phone any recommendations

Atman (Competent) posted this on Monday, 17th November 2003, 12:45

I was looking at
1) Panasonic x70 (Upgrade to the GD87)

2) Nokia 6600 - looks kool - My Chioce

3) Orange SPV e200 (The next release to the bug ridden e100)

Anyone know anywhere where i can either upgrade to these handsets or start a new contract and get the handset cheap or even free with a reasonable monthly tariff.Atr present the best i can do is to get onto a monthly £45 cross network 400 mins on orange monthly, then downgrade to a £20 tarriff after the first four months, this way i get the handset for free ie just pay the montly which comes to £180 for the handset.

Id prefer around £25 a month pushing it to £30.

Thanks

Ive tried carphone warehouse, the link, and a few other net sites too.

Here

6600 is fantastic, stay clear of the Panasonic and think VERY hard about the SPV if you plan to use it a lot, battery life is a bit poor ;)

I`ve just got the Z600 from the CPW, free on a £25 p/m contract. I`m not over the moon with the phone so far. It seems a little slow on loading pages etc... and it`s a little chunky.

The CPW are giving a £50 trade in for your phone/charger and manual which is why I went with them rather than a online company.
