Any Bargins To Be Had In Prague?

Going in the morning for a few days on a stag do. What is cheap to buy apart from the beer and women! I was hoping to get some xmaz gifts and save myself a few quid. Your ideas would be welcome.

Thanks

Just been but I`m the world`s worst shopper and only brought back tat for the kids.
Mainly Russian dolls-acres of them even in Premiership Teams(I had to resist)!
They seem to specialise in amber (ugh) garnet(ugh as well) lots of glass-they make it you know.
Try the dark beer (v.strong), lager is the same as rest of Europe
Good walking shoes are essential-the streets are cobbled.
Food is good value and cheap to soak up the beer. There are Brewerys that are also restaurants which offer typical Czech food.
Look out for the police-in balaclavas-not all of them just the ones raiding the clubs you won`t be going to!

Look for the Municipal House if you are sightseeing-its a beautiful buuilding built in 1911 in the art nouveau style(I swallowed the Guide Book)
There is a famous clock in the Old Town Square but it`s most disapointing.

Lovely place I`d like to go back.
Oh and lots of shops in Wenscelas Square even a C&A and I spotted a large Tescos!!

Just been myself and most things are cheap (eating, transport, attractions, etc.) The only rip-off is the Jewish Cemetery/Sinagogues (?), don`t bother!
Besides glass and semi-precious stones, wooden toys are dead cheap and interesting in an `old fashioned unpainted and unvarnished` sort of way. Also original etchings and artworks are cheap on the Charles Bridge (got an abstract-ish etching about A4 size for £8. Go for the ones that look like the person selling them has actually produced them. There are `un-arty looking` people selling mass produced-looking ones.)
Also you can buy ciggies singularly, individually packaged! Wish I`d got one for a laugh, but they were about 8p!

I brought back 1800 Marlborough Lights, 470 CZK Koruna. (~£10.50 for 200)

I`ll sell them all now that I`m home and make a tidy little profit! :D

Does anyone in Newcastle want to buy some Marlborough Lights? ;)
