The events portrayed within this film will come to be accepted as fact by a large number of people, and in essence that is just plain wrong.

Hmm, well, then it is the acceptence of fiction as fact that is to blame, not the film itself. These sorts of comments still strike me as somewhat bizarre however, because how anyone could claim to consume such a film as fact with all the negative Yank-bashing that gets thrown around, I`m not quite sure.
The film itself, a fatuous cliche-bulging potboiler, isn`t really worth getting worked up about, and at no point declares itself to be a true story.
Perhaps the British noise-makers should stop moaning about American mutilation of history and start placing some proper funnding into home grown projects so that we can recreate history the `British` way.
