The t68i is a very good handset, and probably one of the best buys on pay as you go at the moment. theres plenty of good functions and it`s tri-band. If you venture anywhere near the states, you cannot use most PAYG handsets, but the t68i will work fine. I think T-Mobile are £149.99 at the moment at The Link too.If you are on another network, just get it unlocked and make sure that the network have enabled your handset to work before you go.
you can attach a camera to it. The images look poor onscreen, but if you set up email from the phone you will be able to get pictures on your PC at a high resolution. IMHO, go for the T68I...

Does that mean that all tri-band phones don`t work on a PAYG sim card, with the exception of the T68i? I am interested in getting the Samsung V200 or Panasonic GD87, both are tri-band...will they work on T-Mobile PAYG?

If, by best you mean cheapest, Sainsbury`s at White Rose centre Leeds have Nokia 3310 Vodafone PAYT smartstep at £49.99. A little old-fashioned, but cheap & functional.

I think he meant that most phones sold as part of PAYG packages are not tri-band, so won`t work in the States - the T68i is one of the exceptions. Nothing to do with the SIM card.

brian.w,
If you do decide to purchase the T68i, the cheapest place to buy that I have found so far is www.mobileshop.com @ £129.99 on pay as you go.

I`ve just bought a SIM free Sony Ericsson T300 from www.mphone.co.uk at £121.91 inc DRAT and delivery. It`s a tribander (so I can use it in the States), Has colour screen and will accept an optional camera. My old O2 PayAndGo SIM was compatible so it`s "all systems go".
