I am getting sick of Davina McCall for a start - she`s on everything these days. It won`t be long before she`s on Hollyoaks and coronation Street.

Anyway, I thought that the hole thing has moved away from being an award / performance ceremony and just become a joke.

And how does Will Young win anything after the mess he made of The Doors` hit Light my Fire - modern music with the exception of Coldplay and Oasis is s*** and everyone who has anything to do with `manufactured` dancers who don`t sing and call themselves `bands` are, in the words of Liam Gallagher, panheads who want stabbing. Who the hell plays an instrument?? No-one - so how do they call themselves bands????

What happened to the days when bands would practice for years in someones garage? Exactly - anyone who has bought anything to do with these shambolic idiots wants to hang their head in shame.

Anyway - The Brits were s hite. I`ve stopped watching.

I said that about Davina before Ben Elton made his comment about her reading the news....which proves I lied when I said I`d switched off!

watching it myself....`shambles` is the best description......thousands of years of musical development and we come to this....it`s embarrassing.

I`ve no doubt that when the Four Seasons was first written someone would have said " that bloody Vivaldi and his musical wallpaper, they don`t write real music like they used to " ;-))
There is still real music out there, maybe not as easy to find in Woolies but it`s there.

Perhaps not.I played Purcell and Handel last Saturday (after the march of course)....music changes, as it should do, but change for the worse is just as likely as for the best. Nowadays, the more marketable and the more money it makes....the better the music is. I am gutted.

Totally agree Jim, i hate the manufactured bands. Record companies are now moaning that music piracy is halting CD sales, when will they realise it is also the s hit artists, well so called artists, that they keep trying to promote but nobody wants to buy.

Seen worse, one year in the Best Dance Group there was the Prodigy, Chemical Brothers and a couple of other good dance bands...who won it? Why Eternal of course....U WHAT???
