800MB CD Problems...

iom_Chris (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Monday, 3rd February 2003, 16:04

Hi all,

I`ve downloaded some films off the net, but they`re larger than 700MB, so I thought I`d invest in some 800MB ones, but neither my CD writer, or my mates CD/DVD writer can read it past 700. I`ve been using both Nero and Win XP to try and burn them. Is it a drive problem, a software problem or a CD problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Chris

90 & 99 min CD`s will still be seen as 80 min ones.

Depending on what writer you have, you have to enable "Overburn" in Nero for the writer, look in settings.

Only newer drives and then only some like my Liteon will work with these discs so you will need to check the book/site on your writer

Cheers, got it sorted by overburning and enabling Disc-At-Once on Nero.
