Blokes who hit girls
Tonight after late night opening in Leicester I went out for a beer or two. Not as people who know me to get ratted just to relax.(ok it was 4 beers) Anyway on the way home I see a bloke slamming what I can presume is his girlfriend against FCUK`s window. After about 2 mins of shouting and slamming I call the police. (i am about 100 yards away at this point ) This bloke was not leaving it. About 7-8 mins I have to and go over and say some thing as he is getting more violent. After asking if she is ok and him allowing her to answer I back off untill he starts again. I tell him I have I have called the police so he should really calm down. Cue the kicking. Well I say Kicking, I have quite a nice black eye. I think it would have been a proper kicking had the police I had called 15 mins befor that had not turned up. At that point he with her in tow (why did I bother no doubt she will be braging to her mates about the bloke her boy freind gave a slap) scarper. The police did there best but lost them. At this point they come back and ask what happend. I explain why I had called them. They ask do I want to press charges. Why I ask? For the beating they say. It had not even come into my mind that I had just been assulted. I was more concered about her. At that point I say not bothered mate and they go after taking my details.
Now I have sat down and thought about it I am getting bloody angry. I can guess that she wont press charges but I will. As he was slamming her (and me) against FCUK`s window he set the alarm off. I am hopeing the time will be logged and it will be on CCTV of the City or one of the shops in the area.
I know this is now sounding like a rant about a bloke who`s pride has been hurt but it is not.
I am just angry.
I will leave it at that.
All the best,
The 42blackeyed%er.

RE: Blokes who hit girls (and me)
you did the right thing mate... behind you 100%.... you always get warned about interfering in arguments between nutters and nutters birds... but theres just that small chance that if you don`t someone may be seriously hurt or even killed...
well done..!
RE: Blokes who hit girls (and me)
Indeed, it is risky, as the victims normally has some kind of totally misguided loyalty to the twat who`s kicking the hell out of her, and they turn on you if you get involved (it`s happened to me).
One thing that really boils my blood though is parents who hit their kids. I`m not talking about a smack around the legs, but the parents who hit their kids as if they`re full grown adults. Again, it`s hard to know whether to get involved, as if anything kicked off I`m sure the child would back up anything the parent said, but I can`t stand to see this sort of thing. I came from a fairly violent home myself (when I was quite young), and I know what this sort of thing does to people, and continues to do to people later in life.
Anyway, that`s my related rant over. I only mention it as my girlfriend saw some psycho of a mother assaulting (for their can be no other word) her young daughter in a supermarket car park earlier in the week. My girlfriend was too scared to get involved, but reckons the girl had some of her hair ripped out and was then locked in the car, crying, while her mother disappeared. Some people shouldn`t be let near kids, yet, ironically, they`re normally the ones with too many of them...
Well done 42%er - who knows what would have happened had you not jumped in. It`s tricky (and scary) to know what to do but you deserve a pat on the back.
Hope you have luck in finding / charging the sick demented bassa.
RE: Blokes who hit girls (and me)
Cold light of day, My face hurts and I have a black eye and not enough time to chase this up. If the police happen to come up with something then I may do so.
duder, "Jumped in" would be the wrong wording but I know what you mean.

42%er, basically when my mum was a kid, she watched her dad beat crap out of her mum day after day (the kids got it as well). One day he smashed her through a window, my mums brother (in his teens) finally had enough and started on his dad.
Because of this he was disowned / thrown out of the house by his MUM for possibly saving her life!!!
42%er, what Im trying to say is although you did the decent thing, the girl more than likely wouldn`t thank you, and would probably stick up for the @rsehole of a boyfriend if it came to it!!!
But, fair play anyway mate, because you "may" have saved her life....
This reminds me of two incidents that happend to my brother in Leicester in the 1980`s.
First. He was coming home from the pub and saw a bloke giving is bird a good slapping so he intervened she turned on him,so he gave her a good slap and beat the bloke up.
Second. Coming home from pub from a darts match he was set about by a skinhead who was sniffing glue, the skin head was last seen running down the fosse road with a set of darts stuck in him!
How I miss the 80`s and the people I loved and lost.

You did the right thing, mate. It takes proper bottle to risk what you have for someone else (especially strangers), blokes that have fights every week or hit women aren`t brave. Hope the eye gets better, and next time duck LOL
All the best.
Nick
You`r having quite a week of it my friend.
I`m over six feet tall, 16 stone plus, ex-Glasgow Police and I`ve got a knife scar on my hand put there by 15 year old ned in broadly similar circumstances.
I and I`m sure you and others would do the same thing again, but in truth you never know what will develop out of nothing and the sensible and hardest thing to do is to call the police and not get involved in a confrontation.
Having said that your bruises are badges of pride because most people WOULD have looked away and walked on, you did not and that imho is to your eternal credit.
