I`ve heard great things about the Scan player, but nobody has really talked about the video quality outputs from S-VIDEO, composite or RGB.
I bought the Wharfedale because of the video output quality, but if the Scan is comparable, then I`ll take the Wharfedale back to Tesco and get a refund (I don`t like to speed of the machine, too slow!).
Does anyone have an idea?. Any video benchmarks for this player?. Any magazine reviews?
Have you seen the review on this website?!!
See the hardware section.

I have, however I was refering to technical information about the state of the video signals, such as chroma crosstalk values, frequency response (for both CVBS and s-video).
I have a huge screen at home, and if the player suffers from colour bleed on the S-VIDEO signal, then I will most definitely see it (unless I use RGB, problem is all sockets are taken).
Scan`s site provides the minimal amount of info in terms of the players technical specs, but the player is based around ESS tech`s video encoding processor, which is very fast, and offers good features.
Maybe I should just get one and see.
I did hear that Scan are sold out of these units until the second week in July when their next big container shipment arrives. Seems to be selling pretty well.
