In IE6

Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Multimedia

Check that the correct boxes are ticked.

Good Luck!

Try a Windows Update, shouldn`t take too long on b-band.

This was one of a few problems i was having with IE6 but i got this advice and it worked for me......

Go to Start/run, and run the following commands one after the other, each line followed by `enter`:

regsvr32 shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 urlmon.dll
regsvr32 comcat.dll
regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll

Run each line individually. After each run, you should see a short message stating the command was successful.

It wont hurt to re-register urlmon.dll

If that doesnt work, then go to Start > Search and type in hosts. You will see several files appear. The one that you are interested is:

hosts C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc

Open the file with Notepad and delete all entries apart from

127.0.0.1 localhost

Now see if you if you can open links. BTW, this will remove all restricted sites from IE so you will have to start again.

Hello skirpydoink, tried everything you suggested, made some improvement. Doesn`t happen on every web page only a few? Dvd reviewer is one of the pages that doesn`t seem to load properly (very strange). Thanks for all your help . John

Try clearing your temporary internet files, cookies, history, etc.
